Make sure bedtimes happen at a reasonable time again,” said Melissa Benaroya, Seattle-based therapist and family coach. “We get a little relaxed during the summer months, especially here in the Pacific Northwest because the sun is out late, so just start to implement those bedtimes maybe two weeks before school starts so it’s not such an abrasive change or transition.”
